Participants of international exploring expedition named after Thor Heyerdahl not only got used to sea life on board the ship Kon-Tiki and learn how to knit strong nodes, but also made mobile application. On 19 of July at Sibinfocentre children created an app-constructor, which allowed work with pictures and make graphic special effects.
Children information technology level was different however, everyone handled with the task. Certified instructor of Sibinfocenter Semyon Kolmykov tried to make the lesson simple, interesting and understandable. “We created a mobile application from scratch. I was very surprised how easy it was,you do not even have to be an IT specialist, “said International Ayb school student Tatevik Galstyan from Yerevan.
One of the members of the expedition – a pupil of gymnasium № 15 Nikita Kuzmenko, was helping his friends. He develops programs for Android, has repeatedly performed with projects at regional scientific- practical conferences. Now Nikita is working on an educational project in C ++. “I liked how the lesson was organized. Each step was explained, everything was very available, “- shared Nikita.
The administrator of the project in Armenia and the teacher of the international school Ayb Artak Zargaryan mentioned that such teaching is very important for the professional orientation of the students and advancement of their ideas. “The program teaches how to easily create mobile applications that will enable you to add new functions, and also work on self-promotion. This can help students to make a choice- weather they want do it in the future. It also can inspire to create their own project. Everything was said in simple, human language, but not in language of numbers and codes. And our participants realized that working with mobile applications is easy. It is important that we educate our children to be financially independent. People think that when they get a job their life is a success. This is not so, you always need to generate your own ideas. When you are working on your own project you will always be free in your time and actions.’’-mentioned Artak Zargaryan.
The Sibinfocentre’s instructor Semyon Kolmykov shared his impressions of teamwork: “Super kids, d they give right questions and are very curious. While working with children most of all I like satisfaction f the moment, when student figured out the issue and learned how the given knowledge could be used in practice for realizing their ideas. I love the liveliness of their thinking, when we together modify something and make a unique product.’’
